Let me make this statement from the onset: I love Revelate Design’s bags. They are super
If you follow Jeff Jones and have been paying attention, you are by now well aware of the new Jones Plus frame. I am a rider who greatly appreciates the Jones brand and the cool products he makes. So like many of you, I ride what he sells.
Ever wonder how the width of your rim alters the width of your tire? Well, it’s time to get geeky.
Fans of the shop know that one of our favorite tasks is customizing bicycles. The most resent step toward making every bike extra special has been to stock custom color items. We noticed that it seems impossible to get a white, orange or yellow headset. Well, we put an end to that.
We just received a shipment of fun stuff that lends itself to dressing up a fixed gear. Origin8 has lots of cool new parts in tons of colors.
If you have not tried Ergon grips yet do your self a favor and give them a try. Love at first ride.
I don’t know why I am so excited about these water bottles but I am. They are taste-free, total renewable stainless steel bottles with plastic sports caps. So if you have been wanting to ditch plastic this is your chance.
Attention Chris King fans! The Chris King Bottom Brackets have arrived and are now for sale at Ye Old Bicycle Escape. We have not received our entire shipment (the fun colors are still in production) but none-the-less several are here now and ready to go.
I have been riding Oury grips since the mid 1990s. There is just something about their squishiness that pleases me.
The other day we received a shipment of Tomicogs. For those of you who don’t know, Tomicogs are fixed gear cogs that install on a disc hub’s 6-bolt (ISO) mounts.
Recently I had the opportunity to compare two carbon 29er mountain bike forks, White Brothers Rock Solid and Origin8 Black Ops. I have not ridden either of these products for any length of time so this is not an evaluation or ride report
I just wanted to share this beautiful set of custom Industry Nine Wheels that recently arrived. As you can see the wheel was built with blue and black spokes laced to a polished silver hub.
There is something about top tube protectors that I find very cool. Maybe it is the track star image or the gel encased steel. I don’t know what it is about them but I am now the proud owner of a Kashimax Five Gold top tube protector.
Several months ago we started a special project at The Bicycle Escape. We reshaped bottle caps to turn them into bicycle head tube badges. At first the result was rather primitive but as weeks turned into months we honed our technique.
A few weeks ago we received a shipment of Deller hats. The initial order was instigated by Mike who wanted one for himself. After seeing the hats (and grabbing one for myself) I was glad we placed the order.
Spot Bash GauThe Guys and Gals at The Bicycle Escape are quite fond of running a bash guard in place of the big ring on our mountain bikes. Recently we documented one of the installations (on Danielle’s bike).
