It was hot yesterday, REALLY HOT! In spite of the heat, about 800 riders signed up once again for the popular Firefighter 50 bicycle ride.
On September 27 of this year, we were honored to be a part of the Lymphoma Research Ride, held by the Lymphoma Research Foundation.
We had the honor to bring this Harry Havnoonian back to life.
It was great fun to help out with the very first Tour de Frederick. We had fun meeting the many cyclists at our water stop.
We just finished a new stock build. It is a super rad Independent Fabrication Factory Lightweight built up with a Shimano Ultegra kit.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of building the pictured YiPsan all-road bike for Catherine. The frame is hand crafted in the lugged tradition. I refer to this bike as an “all-road” bike because it is designed to accept wider cyclocross tires, but has road bike geometry.

We just had the honor of assembling Chuck’s Independent Fabrication Factory Lightweight. The frame has a lot of gorgeous finish work. Chuck chose hand painted stars to accent the frame.
The 2008 Photo ride was met with record numbers and perfect weather. 21 cyclists congregated at The Bicycle Escape for a casual ride with plenty of stops to shoot some photos.
A Couple of weeks ago we sent a Specialized Roubaix frame to Calfee Design for repair. The frame was damaged in a freak accident. The non-drive chainstay was gouged badly. As the pictures show the work preformed by the Calfee staff is exceptional!
This past Sunday several riders showed up for the second installment of The Bicycle Escape’s Photo Ride. The 18 mile ride was very casual with several stops to take photographs. We enjoyed the country roads in Walkersville and Thurmont.
